N THE FIRST FLOOR OF CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital is a statue of the sacred heart of Jesus Christ.

Many people kneel before the sacred heart of Jesus and pray for a miracle. Children have been seen speaking to Jesus, and they tell their parents that Jesus is real.

Patients say that, when they have been very close to death or have been afraid, our Lord the sacred heart of Jesus stands at the end of their hospital bed. They say they receive so much peace that they know whatever happens is going to be all right.

Patients who are not Catholic have said to me that the presence of the Lord was in their room and, even though they didn’t understand it, there was something about that presence that gave them peace. So they say it must have been the Lord.
